    Number 1! Final answer!

The second image. And regardless of what you said, the rest of the flower pictures are gorgeous!

    Gina -- Thanks for voting!

Rowena -- Thanks for your vote and the lovely compliment.

Come on everyone else -- I need input!

Well, I like them all and all are calendar worthy but I like all the pollen on the face and neck of the bee in the third picture. He really gets into his work! I'm still enjoying my tomato and basil on a chair picture but I will have to turn the page soon! :(

I like the first one... because I really like the unusual slant of the flower, and the shadows/contrast you got in that one. Whereas you don't see as much slant/shadow in the second and third.

And your peppers are WAY ahead of mine at this point. Mine are all still way green--except the purples! :)

Layanee and Kim -- you've both hit on the reasons that #1 and #3 are my favorites, but I still don't know which one I'm going to use!

Layanee -- I have enjoyed this month's photo too and hate to see the calendar turn to September because that's definitely fall.

Kim -- We've found if we leave the purple peppers (which have all been tiny) on the plant for a while they do get kind of sweet, but I'm dying for a real sweet bell pepper!

Thanks for the tip, Heather. I have a few that I almost picked today, but I'll have to leave them for a while and see if the sweetness improves. It looks like my red bells might finally be turning red--hopefully this week's heat will help! (At least the heat will be good for something... ugh.)
