We're expecting a large winter storm Sunday night into Monday, but it's too late. My mind has moved on to spring cleaning and seed-starting. Friday was a lovely day near 60 degrees and we spent it on UCONN's campus. I don't know if they started their bulbs in greenhouses and then planted them in the beds along the road, but there those green shoots sat and VPH and I both noticed. No signs of them in my garden though, which could mean that the varmints ate all our bulbs, or they just haven't fought their way up yet.
The stores all have seeds out and I have completely succumbed to the temptation those little packets offer. Combined with the leftovers from the last 2 years I have quite the little seed stash:
Please note the wintry, anemic light and the Christmas-themed socks in the background...clear signs that it is not yet time to be planting anything no matter how badly I want to!
Are you dying to get started too?
