Every part of me is sore. It's been so long since I could work in the garden for 2 days in a row. I think I might have over done it just a bit. But I got a ton done. Not exactly what I set out to do, but all things that needed to be done. First -- finally planting that box up! I drilled large holes in the bottom of the box, put some large pieces of styrofoam in the bottom (didn't need to fill the whole box with soil, it's huge!), lined it with a large garbage bag (I cut big holes in the bottom of the bag for drainage), and trimmed the bag down to a few inches below the top:
I love it:
Those are ornamental edible peppers in the middle and clockwise from oneish: purple sage, silver edge thyme, Italian parsley, golden sage, Italian large leaf basil, and cilantro delfino:
I'm so happy with how it looks and hopefully it will be part of my garden for a long time:
I did a little work on the herb barrel too. I cut back the chives hard, moved the creeping thyme over a little, relocated the nasturtium to the other side of the barrel (which will be its 3rd home) and added a golden sage:
On the very left is the variegated pineapple mint (replacing the old spearmint which never thrived this year), front and center is French tarragon (I can already taste the yummy chicken salad), purple sage on the right, fernleaf dill went in with the ones I grew from seed, and more Italian large leaf basil in the back row (the other pots in case you don't remember hold rosemary, lavender, and lemon thyme):
I made zero changes to this container, but if the hot & spicy oregano doesn't do some growing soon I may direct sow some basil in the blank spot:
But look how the golden oregano is thriving here:
I have a few half-planted containers sitting by needing just a little more soil, some seedlings to get into larger pots, and then just this little bit left to plant:
My plan is to have this table empty of plants by Friday. Wish me luck!
Don't forget to put in some Mint for Mojitos.

Two days work? I barely got two hours in before I needed a nap. Love your new planted box and all your containers look wonderful. That fancy pepper plant is quite a stunner. Good luck with emptying that table.

Eric -- One of the half planted items is a peppermint with flowers combo, but I am not a fan of Mojitos...really bad rum experience in my youth.
Layanee -- I am so sore today I'm having a hard time walking! I'll have to take another photo of the pepper today, it perked up overnight and is glorious! If I can haul my tired, sore body outside I want to get at least half the table cleared today. But that's a big IF.
