I know what you mean about ill mannered children...or really, clueless parents. What do they think 'parenting' means? It makes for good stories though doesn't it?

Love the beans and their trellis. Water is a bit scarce here also! I did water the veggie garden today and then it sprinkled!

Your hyacinth beans will flower and produce pods throughout several frosts, and may even suvive a hard freeze.
Mine were gorgeously prolific all last summer - literally hundreds of beautiful shiny purple pods - but, this spring, all I got back in ground were four 'volunteers'. I'm glad I saved seeds.

You are so not alone on the non-ripe tomato saga. I'm just north of the Baseball Hall Of Fame (and yes, screaming babies, rowdy children and rude parents seem to be the norm lately) and am so very jealous looking at all those juicy, red, RIPE tomatos on everyone's blogs! I have loaded plants, just loaded with all green yet. I wonder why we are so far behind this year?
