    The cosmos look leggy, like they don't get enough sun. You usually don't have to cut them back to get them to bloom, but if they don't get enough sun, they will bloom sparsely or not at all. I am a new visitor to your blog and not familiar with the location where they're planted, but when I saw the photo of them, that was my immediate reaction: not enough sun.

    Layanee - we did get a lot of nice feedback on the garden from our friends, which was very gratifying. Of course, we have very nice friends so it's not like they were going to point out the flaws, lol.

    Kathy - Thanks for visiting, especially during your hiatus. There's no spot in our yard that gets "a lot" of sun. But the wildflower patch gets more than anywhere else. We've had plenty of cosmos bloom, so I'm not concerned about that, but these guys were so tall they were flopping over and I just wanted them to be shorter.
