Remember this excited post about my upcoming trip to Logee's with Layanee? It's back on for this Friday!!! We're calling it the Northeastern Spring Fling since neither of us could make it to Austin for Spring Fling proper -- United is to blame for Layanee's non-attendance and the lack of direct flights and high ticket prices are to blame for mine.
I need this trip because I am having the hardest time getting my butt in gear and heading out to the garden to clean up, plan and start sowing seeds. I'm a great procrastinator. I am not good at dividing large projects up into a bunch of smaller projects. I'm a get it all done at the same time kind of person and if the project is going to take more than one day I get paralyzed and can't start. You would think being aware of this tendency would help me get over it, but nope, still can't get it done.
Anyway, I'm charging my camera battery and keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to get away this time. Cross yours too!
Please takes pix - I'm interested in what perennials can grow in my relatively cold climate in Guilford.
My 'patio' garden has secondary leaves on the peppers and tomatoes, so I will soon start distrbuting seedlings to my unsuspecting neighbors. I'll take pix of their development, and send you a 'mini-blog.'

Oh Logees! I love them. We used to go to CT every year, but Alan's mom died, so we haven't been in a while. But his sibs are still there and if we go again, I will definitely make it. I hadn't realized they were located there during our prior trips.
I hope you and Layanee can make Garden Walk. That should be your Austin substitute.

Heather: I am glad you warned us in that photo series about the gazebo as I actually cringed when I saw it! I am also excited about Logee's but more with actually meeting a fellow garden lover! I have to see how far Buffalo is and when the Garden Walk is taking place. That sounds like a great time! So far United is not paying back! Glad I am not flying American this week. They are all broken and there is NO customer service!

Mom -- I will definitely take lots of photos. Unfortunately there is a 60% chance of rain tomorrow, so I'm hoping that it's bright enough for good photos. Do send me pics of your garden as I'd love to do another guest blog from you!
Eliz -- Logee's is in far northeastern CT, about an hour drive from my house, and only 20 minutes from Layanee's! Definitely let me know if you're going to be in CT. I made the hotel reservations for Garden Walk, so barring any disasters, I'll be there with VPH in tow.
Layanee -- we can talk about anything and everything when we meet in person tomorrow!!!!!

Yeah, go to GardenWalk - are 260 gardens enough for ya?
Have fun, y'all, and take lots of pics!

Susan -- It's as close to official as any of my plans get that we're coming to Garden Walk Buffalo. I made hotel reservations at Niagra Falls and VPH and I are really looking forward to it!
