    Heather's Garden

Okay, I may have answered one of my own questions. Could the purple flower be delphinium ajacis? Or some other form of delphinium? The only problem is it appears to be an annual and I don't remember seeing any of these last year and I didn't put down any annual seed this year. It's not just one plant either or I'd write it off as a volunteer. There's 4 or 5 of them scattered around.

heather - the pictures look great. maybe you SHOULD be a photo journalist!

Gina -- Thanks! I'd like to see what I could do with a really good camera instead of my 3-year-old Canon Powershot. I have to admit that I look at professional photographers' pics and say I can do that, but maybe I just have a high level of delusion going. If I ever have some spare money I want to take a photography class. The ones that I took in middle and high school aren't cutting it anymore.

Hi Heather, I randomly, somehow by the magic of Google, stumbled across your picture of the "4-foot tall plants" that you hoped would bloom so you could figure out what they were. Sadly, I do not have an answer, but am hoping that YOU do because I have the same exact ones in my yard. They are blooming with a delicate, yellow flower right now. I would love to find out what it is!!! Did you ever find out?

Martin -- I vaguely remember that I figured it out, but I have absolutely no idea what they are now. Did you read ahead? I might have written about it in a subsequent post.
