I have been showing you a lot of veggies lately, but I've got plenty of flowers (thankfully attracting pollinators). I'm not sure why I haven't written any GTS posts so far this summer, but that's easily remedied. I have two dahlias from Dave the dahlia guy that are blooming and I happen to have taken photos of both of them with my thumb for scale.
This one's labeled Parkland Glow:
Bay State Angel:

I am liking dahlias a bit better and have a few here and there. Two in pots are not looking very good but the big potted dahlias are marvelous! Love yours and the white is a study in symmetry.

Layanee -- I have a friend who swears that dahlias are the second coming in regards to cut flowers. I'm not digging the little white ones that much, so I'm hoping the next to bloom will knock my socks off. Dave the dahlia man tells me I can just cut off the old growth and store the pots in the basement over the winter, so if it's really that easy they may become a permanent part of my garden. Any more complicated than that and likely not.
