    I love your bookcases.
I do think that a title catches your attention and makes you read a post, there is so many blogs now, how do you chose who you will read?

    Sue

I had to laugh, because the title is what I usually think of last, and lately, I have posted a couple, forgetting to come up with the title. When I'm picking in blotanical, I look at the title to see if it's something I'm interested in. If it's obviously not garden related, I usually skip it. In this case, you caught my interest.

I love your dahlias. I want to grow more next year.

Love those white dahlias. Happy belated birthday. What did VPH cook for you? Love the spider pictures and that must be the relative of Miss October 2009. When are you leaving for FL? Sounds like a great plan.

Deborah -- Thanks! I love them too. They appear to have been hand-made and are just the perfect shallow depth for not a huge room. And I know there are more blogs than I can find the time to read.

Sue -- Aren't titles a pain? Do you find a lot of posts on Blotanical that aren't garden-related? I know I used to find a lot about cats, which I found pretty boring.

Layanee -- Thanks! I was super-swamped on my actual birthday with fundraiser duties, so we're going to celebrate the first week of November when we have theatre tickets with a nice dinner out. Mid-November to FL and we can't wait!

Oh the white dahlias are beautiful. I wish we could grow them here, but it's too darn hot!
In reference to weather, do you recall Southwest Florida had two days of really COOl temperatures last week...well, my camillia must have thought it was winter time so she's opened her one solitary bloom - three whole months before usual. I'll send a picture.
Temps are still in the nineties - if we ever have a seasonal change my tomatoes will go toes-up. I've even got green beans and spinach flourishing.
