And we have the first day-lily of the year. An unnamed variety (because all my day-lilies are passalongs -- all two types that I have), but isn't it a beaut? And a total surprise to me! I thought the yellow ones would bloom first and not today:
And I think I've decided where the buddleias will go. I plan to take the zinnias out of this pot and plant the pink butterfly bush in it instead. I've read that some people grow them in containers and this pot seems plenty big enough to me. And if it doesn't survive the winter, well I only spent $5 on it. Now the question is where am I going to put the zinnias:
And the purple one will be planted down by the shed (kind of hard to see in this photo, but look for the small black pot and go up to the purple flowers). It does look like it belongs there and it can get as big as it wants to:
I'm looking forward to putting on gardening clothes tomorrow and playing in the dirt!
Lilies look pretty! The tomatos look great in the container.
