We're loving Buffalo so far. Being a separate-from-the-pack kind of gal, I opted not to ride the bus on Friday and instead drove my car. Before we left for Buffalo VPH said that he'd like to see the Japanese garden listed on the agenda. Wait, he expressed interest in seeing a garden! Well let's just say it didn't disappoint. I've got tons of photos from today and will give you a nice long juicy post at some point, but it's late and these maniacs like to head out before 9 a.m., so here's a quick taste:
My other favorite shot from Friday:
If you've ever toyed with the idea of heading to Garden Walk Buffalo but couldn't quite commit...book your trip today.
Heather, that rain barrel was memorable - great shot!

Cyndy -- Thanks! I loved her garden. I wish I had better shots of it...really tough to photograph that tiny garden with all those people wandering around in it!

I wish I had seen that barrel. The Japanese garden was a real treat - even with all the people there. It must have a special loveliness when the new cherry trees are in bloom.

Pat -- Lee spotted the rain barrel for me, and then her trash can which was also painted. He's good at pointing out what I've missed in my rush to see the next thing, which happens far too often. We were driving our car so we got to the Japanese garden almost an hour before you guys and got to spend some great quiet time alone there. And we made friends with the crew who did the work so we learned a good deal about the garden, though I don't remember much of it now, lol.

I loved that rainbarrel too! I guess I did the separate-from-the-pack thing well on Summer Street, as I was alone in that garden for about 5 minutes.

Mr. McGregor's Daughter -- I saw it on your post too! I'm pretty sure we passed each other in that garden if I recall correctly. I took a photo of the trash can too, but you beat me to posting it! I still have to go through all my photos.
