Happy 4th of July! I was going to post a red, white, and blue collage, but I only came up with two out of three today. Red potatoes harvested this afternoon from the two big gray containers:
The potato salad I made with store bought potatoes (ours will be used for a special dinner tomorrow, more on that soon), but our own red onion and tarragon:
And the fence and containers are sort of a blue gray where I replaced the red potatoes with a tomatillo on the left surrounded by basil and a Great White tomato on the right surrounded by basil, the 20 minutes of gardening I did today:
I know, that was kind of a stretch, not really blue at all. In case you want to try the French potato salad recipe (which is one of the best I've had), here you go -- from America's Test Kitchen:
Now back to beer, burgers, and more potato salad. Hope you're having a fantastic Fourth!!!
Your recipe reads like a winner, Heather. No butter, no sour cream, just the taste of potato and a few herbs and olive oil. Will definitely try it. Gray works as blue. It's just blue with heavy sun. Happy Fourth, my friend! Summer has arrived!!!
