Today brought an excellent harvest. A gigantic zucchini (really, where do they hide?), 3 oddly shaped cucumbers, 7 Lillian Yellow tomatoes (two were already sliced for my tomato/mozz dinner), 3 random black tomatoes, 2 jalapenos, 2 red onions, some basil, and a bunch of cilantro (not pictured because I couldn't figure out how to work it into the photo):
But I can't decide if I like it better on the kitchen table covered with a white apron above or on the grass outside below:
Comment with your preference, please.
What a gorgeous haul from the garden. I like the 2nd photo in all it's natural glory.

Green grass background makes your veggie
colors deeper. Did you grow those cute little red onions, too?
Appropo of nothing - any good butterfly pics?

I would crop it so that the plate is the full frame. Nice crop.

Meemsnyc -- It was a delicious haul too! Thanks for your vote.
Mom -- Yes, everything in that photo was grown in our own garden.
Wendy -- I would crop square, but the calendar page is this size frame, so it would look very odd.

I cannot decide. They just look good. I am cooking some squash right now for lunch. It is the best time of year isn't it?

Def on the grass!

Layanee -- That's no help! Yes, I love harvest time the most. Literally having more fresh produce than we can eat is nice problem to have.
Nadia -- Thanks, I'm leaning that way too.

I really enjoy your candor and the great photos of your harvest. I love to garden and wanted to tell you what I have in mine. I live in California so gardening all year long is quite possible and most years I do. Right now for my fall garden I have red, white and purple potato in the ground. My purple potatoes are already coming up. Red and Yellow Onions won't be here till spring but they are in the ground. In November I am going to put in Broccoli and Cauliflower for spring harvest. Thanks for a beautiful read about your garden endeavors. Much luck to you in coming seasons
